Frame: steel, hand-painted. Seat: paracord. Lamp: upcycled plastic jerry can.

About paracord

Paracord is a lightweight nylon rope originally developed for military parachutes. It has a high breaking strength, a pleasant texture and is highly flexible — making it easy to knot. Durable and weather-resistant, nylon will not rot or mould and dries quickly.

Sustainability

The jerry can gets a second life as a lampshade — upcycled and given new purpose.
